What we do | IDAS offers a range of free and confidential services to help people cope with, and recover from, the traumatic effects of domestic abuse and sexual violence. Our support is open to everyone irrespective of age, sex, gender, ethnicity, disability or immigration status. Our services include the provision of different types of safe accommodation, one to one and groupwork support in the community, and access to our confidential helpline. Services are accessible and inclusive and can be accessed by anyone living in North Yorkshire, Barnsley and Sheffield. |
What we accept |
We are in urgent need of toiletries, including shower gel and soap, shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, toothbrushes and toothpaste, sanitary items, nappies and basic pantry food items for the women and children we support. Many of the women and children who flee abuse arrive at our refuges with nothing. We try to provide essential items for their first days in refuge but need support so that we can continue doing this.
