2020 has not been easy for the majority of people, but for those living in poverty it has been even more difficult. We reached out to the 200+ charities and organisations that we support, and asked them what difference they had seen in the use of their services – they all said they’d seen a rise in demand of 50% or more, and they can see this growing.

In 2019, thanks to your support, we were able to get toiletries to over 250,000 people. This year we’re already getting closer to that number than we could have imagined, and we really need your help. Can you help us with 1, 2 or 3 of the following?

  1. Do you have some spare toiletries you can donate? Find a local cause who needs them, here.
  2. Can you tell your friends and colleagues about Toiletries Amnesty and how to get involved? Drop them an email, share your own toiletries donations on Instagram (and tag us), direct them to this page: https://www.toiletriesamnesty.org/donate/
  3. We receive no external funding, so every penny makes a huge difference and helps us support those who really need us. Please consider donating towards our running costs through our GoFundMe here https://www.gofundme.com/f/toiletries-amnesty

If you have other suggestions about how you’d like to get involved with Toiletries Amnesty please do email us, we’d love to hear from you.

‘I was so glad to be able to donate beauty products to Toiletry Amnesty. As a beauty journalist I’m sent a huge amount products to test and try – and although it’s a lovely perk it can get overwhelming, and I can’t in all practicality keep them all! With most of us working from home for the foreseeable, I lacked the practical storage space of the office so I looked for places to donate these excess products.

Having discovered Toiletry Amnesty, I knew I found the ideal place to donate – with connections to charities all over the UK, I was glad that my products would go to helping as much people as possible, all around the country.’

– Rhiannon Derbyshire, Style Writer, Bella & Closer Magazine.

In the photo above you can see just some of the products that style writer Rhiannon Derbyshire has donated through Toiletries Amnesty recently. This super haul is being sorted into smaller packages so that we can share them out across the UK to some of the more remote areas that receive less donations than central locations, like London, do.

Please do keep sharing and showing kindness to others. At the end of the day, it’s all we have.

Can you help keep the Toiletries Amnesty directory free to use?

We don’t charge organisations to list on our directory – toiletries and hygiene products are an essential daily need and we aim to provide free access to toiletries to as many people as we can.

Toiletries Amnesty is self-funded. We don’t receive any government funding or subsidies, but continue to support millions of people every year.

Can you help us continue this vital work?

Your contribution will make a huge difference, please donate if you can.
